Communication element for Senator Clair McCaskill relection campaign

I think specific frame that Senator Clair McCaskill will talk about the president Obama’s plan, which could be good plan to support American economy and life, and she should talk about this plan as a supporter to the voters of Missouri. Since number of voters for the Democrats and Republicans are quite similar in the state, she has to concern on voters defined “switchers” and “droppers”.

To get droppers’ attention and make them active it would be the good idea to tell to the voters that she thinks congress should pass Obama plan as soon as possible so that people can stay with the jobs and economy can get better; therefore there should be hope from voters to the Democratic party. So voters, especially droppers have to use the chance to vote for her in order to support representative democracy.

To the “switchers” she has to pay more attention because their impact to the election result is more than the others. In my opinion, the biggest threat of Senator McCaskill would be the Obama’s plan and how to make “switchers” believe that she could make difference. Since Republicans are majority in the congress, it’s almost sounds impossible to pass the plan.

So most “switchers” would think that Senator McCaskill could’t make difference even though she wins. To change their mind she could directly state that she will work for this plan to pass by taking most Americans vote, or support. I think this will help to take many “switchers” in her side.

Best opportunity to her election communication will be the image that she is with the president. Since most “switchers” think that Obama is trying, they will also see if the democratic senator is supporting him or not. I think trying of Obama is giving some results time by time. For instance, he did what the republican president who concerns more about Security of the U.S couldn’t do (Osama Bin Laden was killed when Obama was president). But now to refresh or rebuild the U.S economy will be the issue that depends on time.

How fast passes the Obama plan, economy will grow by then. Therefore he needs support from senators at this time. So senator McCaskill could say that she can be the one who supports him and together they can make difference.

The reason is “switchers” are generally supporting Obama’s plan and even though it needs time, they are still waiting, according to the poll. Finally, I don’t think most “switchers” would agree if Obama’s plan, which they were waiting for couldn’t pass because of the republicans.

Statehood should own great history in Asia. Because Asian people think that great statehood has to have its great history, which is historically respected. So, recently Korea and central Asian new STAN’s (Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan etc… ) as a new statehoods want to connect own historic origin of statehood to Chinggis Khaan, Mongolian emperor, who is established most biggest empire of all time. Their this try has become traditional and black-wash thing

Martin Rees asks: Is this our final century?

All religions had view about Armageddon. Religions have been explaining that Armageddon will come when there are new blast plagues, wars, terrorisms, and nuclear holocausts come up in the human history.

Today it’s proven that there is no god since the understanding of science entered to all human life, but most people don’t stop talking about Armageddon. For the most people who believe for Armageddon, it’s not the last day but the life will end after universe destroys our world. The most famous astronomer Martin Rees defeated scientifically this understanding by talking about natural order of the universe and its period of aging. Therefore in this our century, our life will not end because of the disaster of the universe. But he couldn’t answer the question “May the life end because of human beings?” I don’t think someone could answer. So talking about end of the universe in this century is just an entertainment business.

my discussion

  1. Audience

I think that first article Management science is written to the audience who are professionals and know about management science already. They have some idea, opinion and information, get definition. This audience expect that take more information about management science, especially they want to know relationship between suppliers and buyers. Specific words that author used in this article and some formulas about economic study can show us who would be the audience.

Second article is written to the audiences who want to some advice or experience like graduate students, youths and people who want to learn from someone’s life. I guess that students already know about what computer graduate school is like and how hard it is to learn at graduate school as Ronald T. Azuma, but they might want to hear about easier way to study successful. It’s actually obvious that the author named this text is for students or graduates; he also talked about what he experienced as a graduate school student.

  1. Tone

The first article is written at academic integrity and sometimes it sounds boring, formal. But also it tried to prove how do suppliers and buyers’ relationship works at the marketplace at some point. For example, in the introduction part author says “Our paper advocates that a good match between suppliers and buyers should be the first step to achieve supply chain coordination, which we call market-based coordination by matching.” It’s quite strict and sounds formal. In addition to that there are many formulas that author uses as some kind of proof.

In contrast to that, Azuma’s text sounds more open and he gave an advice to graduate students or to his audience based on his experience. So it sounds more convenient to understand, sometimes funny, thoughtful and inspiring. He also used proverbs, which made text more interesting. For instance, “Events can be good as well as bad. The difference between the highly effective graduate student and the average one is that the former recognizes those opportunities and takes advantage of them. I had nothing to do with bringing Gary Bishop to UNC. But after he arrived I realized my research would progress much faster if he became my adviser so I made the switch and that was a big help to my graduate student career. Opportunities for synergy and serendipity do occur, but one has to be flexible enough to recognize them and take advantage of them. “

  1. Scope

Management science’s scope defines to specific topic especially, for marketing managers, economists. But second article has wider scope and it’s for all graduate students of computer school; also people interested in computer science or future students, graduates of computer science school. Since Azuma’s text is closer to people’s life as a graduate student I think scope is wider than the other text.
