A place that has special meaning to me is “Zaisan tolgoi” war memorial which is located exactly 3.6 miles from my office which is located at 8 khoroo Sukhbaatar district, Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. The monument complex is on the high hill just east of Agriculture street and west of President House. If you know where the Peace Bridge on Tuul River is, it’s about two mile of it.
The monument located on pointed rocks with hills and at the end of 3689 smooth stairs, which is square, binary granite made of communist era. There is 40 metric great jagged floated concrete soviet solder monument which raises to right hand with flag and holds cycle gun magazine in left hand. It also has a great buzz saw made by glossy stone. You can see names of solders who fought to World War II on shiny stone. There is one long stone chair I like to sit on and look around of Ulaanbaatar, which is capital city of Mongolia.
